CLASSIC GAMES REVISITED – PSP Slim Mod (CFW) overview/how-to

Well, I hacked my PSP Slim and installed Custom FirmWare 5.00 M33-4. It really wasn’t hard at all and just about anybody should be able to do it. Here’s what you need to do after you acquire all the needed items:

Step 1: download this: http://pspslimhacks.com/psp-grader-v008/

Step 2: run PSP Grader with your memory stick in your PSP and the PSP hooked up to your computer (BACK UP ANY FILES FIRST IF YOU WANT TO SAVE THEM). Select create Magic Memory Stick (duh!).

Step 3: fully turn off your PSP, unplug your charger if you have one hooked up, and take out your regular battery and install your TOOL battery.

Step 4: hold the Left Bumper Button down and turn on the PSP.

Step 5: select the first option (5.00 M33-4).

Step 6: let the PSP do it’s thing. When it’s finished, shutdown as per the instructions on the PSP, switch batteries back to your normal battery.

Step 7: rock out with your c@#% out! You now have CFW!

Requirements:

1) PSP with CFW 5.50 GEN-D (Full) already installed

2) Must have WinRar installed to open and extract the files

*** IMPORTANT:

- Do NOT attempt to install this on a PSP 3000 or a PSP 2000 with a TA-088v3 motherboard. If you do, you WILL BRICK YOUR PSP!

- If you brick your PSP I am not held liable!

- Back up your saved files (just in case your files get corrupted, you will have backups to replace them)

- Must have Custom Firmware of at LEAST 4.01 M33. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AT LEAST 5.00 M33-6
to greatly decrease your chances of installation failure and/or bricking.

- If you are a PSP 3000 or Slim (with TA088v3) user you can still have custom firmware by 5.03 GEN-C (or higher).

- In your Theme Settings make sure your “Theme” & “Background” settings are set to “Original”.

- Disable all your plugins

- Make sure your PSP’s battery is charged to at least 78%

How to Make a Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick EASY Part 1/2

READ DESCRIPTION: You will need a PSP (slim or fat) with custom firmware already on it, a memory stick, and an official Sony Battery, slim or fat, corresponding to your PSP

If you have a question, send me a message through youtube. I have a busy schedule so I don’t check very often, but when I do, I try to answer most questions. I will IGNORE questions such as “where can I download the files???” or “what is CFW??” or questions that are ALREADY directly answered in the video and/or the description.

Also, most of you may be wondering why you need to have CFW already just to make these things, which only let you install CFW….it’s like a loop that you don’t know how to get into. Don’t ask me what the point is of making a pandora battery / magic stick if you already have CFW. It might be to help a friend.

For those of you that are watching this video and have a PSP with official Sony firmware on it, this video WILL NOT help you. Look else where on how to get custom firmware. There might be ways to get CFW on your PSP without a pandora battery. OR WHAT YOU COULD DO is purchase a pandora battery and magic memory stick off the internet and use it on your official firmware PSP to install custom firmware on it.
