If you’re looking at owning a Sony PSP or you already have one, it’s essential that you realize the true potential of this device. The PSP doesn’t just play games, it also plays MP3s, movies, can browse the Internet, view your photos, and more.
When the PSP was first introduced, there was a huge buzz that surrounded the sleek gadget. It seemed like everyone wanted to own the new PSP, and it felt like forever before Sony could manufacture enough to meet the demand. It was soon clear that the PSP was much more than a mere gaming console.
To get the most out of your PSP, you’ll need to upgrade to ver 2 firmware if you haven’t already. Upgrading your PSP can easily be done online, and you’ll find easy to read instructions located in your PSP manual.
A nice feature of the PSP is the capability to set an image of your choice as your background PSP wallpaper. I like to choose images of my family, and landscape photos show nicely on the display as well. In order to set your own background, choose the wallpaper function located under themes. Go to the photo folder and select the photo you’d like, then set it as the wallpaper.
PSP download websites are springing up all over the net and will help you make the most out of your PSP. These sites offer many different kinds of applications, games, movies, and other goodies that you can send back to your PSP to play with later.
Some of these websites will also offer PSP hacks which will make your PSP perform various things. One trick you can use will give you and your friends the ability to player a multiplayer game even if there is only one UMD game disk between all players. TO do this, first start the game in the first PSP in ad-hoc multiplayer mode and be sure to set the time limit to forever. Eject the UMD and if a message pops up with “Do You Want to Quit?” select “No.” Place the UMD disk in the next PSP and begin another multiplayer game like in the first step. Repeat the process all over with all players and have fun!

. Sorry for the sound quality, but it was the best i could do with my digital camera. Half of the theme is flashed, while half was put in with the custom theme option in the psp system pulldown.
