Sony launched its PSP-3000 in October 2008 and immediately after that there were rumors about new launch of Sony PSP-4000. The rumors have already spread across boundaries and the whole world with game freaks is keeping senses wide open to learn new developments on the rumors about Sony PSP-4000. This is not only the news that is going around. There have been reports that Sony has already planned and designer a more powerful successor of PSP-4000 which they would launch immediately after few months the PSP-4000 is launched to grab more market share and write off its competitors in the market.

Now how far these stories that are circulating are true? According to Eurogamer John Koller, the Sony Hardware Marketing Director is hiding something and the brand doesn’t want to disclose too early any such project to avoid competitors getting their clues. There is expectation that Sony would launch the Sony PSP-4000 by the end of 2009 to counter the release of Nintendo DSi gaming console that would be released in mid 2009 in North America. So, how far the rumors have base is difficult to say.

Gamers are berserk over the issue and wish to learn what Sony’s opinion on PSP-4000 is. The detail of the new model which is expected to release is also sketchy and no clear. There has been news from many sources that Sony has announced to refresh their PlayStation Portable immediately after they launched the PSP-3000. The new features of PSP-4000 are really impressive and the console would be a slider gadget with touch screen features in it. It is also expected that the SONY PSP-4000 would have HDD, new ergonomics and hardware features in it.

The speculations have not finished with such news. With so many rumors it becomes difficult to chalk out exact details of the PlayStation Portable. But how far these rumors make senses? If we try to have a clear look into the matter of rumors then it has been mostly seen that rumors later on becomes facts. There were similar rumors regarding PSP2 before its release and there were no confirmed news from SONY that time too. But later it released the PSP2 with great pomp and show. Because of past histories, gamers are relying a lot on the rumors on Sony PSP-4000. There are some sites which are spreading rumors across all corners that Sony themselves have announced details about a new PSP console dubbed as PSP-4000. But this is not true. Almost all prominent position holders of SONY have denied any such news! They denied that SONY right now is deciding something on PSP-4000. According to them the brand is rather considering the response of PSP-3000 and has not thought anything about new PSP.
