Sony launched its PSP-3000 in October 2008 and immediately after that there were rumors about new launch of Sony PSP-4000. The rumors have already spread across boundaries and the whole world with game freaks is keeping senses wide open to learn new developments on the rumors about Sony PSP-4000. This is not only the news that is going around. There have been reports that Sony has already planned and designer a more powerful successor of PSP-4000 which they would launch immediately after few months the PSP-4000 is launched to grab more market share and write off its competitors in the market.

Now how far these stories that are circulating are true? According to Eurogamer John Koller, the Sony Hardware Marketing Director is hiding something and the brand doesn’t want to disclose too early any such project to avoid competitors getting their clues. There is expectation that Sony would launch the Sony PSP-4000 by the end of 2009 to counter the release of Nintendo DSi gaming console that would be released in mid 2009 in North America. So, how far the rumors have base is difficult to say.

Gamers are berserk over the issue and wish to learn what Sony’s opinion on PSP-4000 is. The detail of the new model which is expected to release is also sketchy and no clear. There has been news from many sources that Sony has announced to refresh their PlayStation Portable immediately after they launched the PSP-3000. The new features of PSP-4000 are really impressive and the console would be a slider gadget with touch screen features in it. It is also expected that the SONY PSP-4000 would have HDD, new ergonomics and hardware features in it.

The speculations have not finished with such news. With so many rumors it becomes difficult to chalk out exact details of the PlayStation Portable. But how far these rumors make senses? If we try to have a clear look into the matter of rumors then it has been mostly seen that rumors later on becomes facts. There were similar rumors regarding PSP2 before its release and there were no confirmed news from SONY that time too. But later it released the PSP2 with great pomp and show. Because of past histories, gamers are relying a lot on the rumors on Sony PSP-4000. There are some sites which are spreading rumors across all corners that Sony themselves have announced details about a new PSP console dubbed as PSP-4000. But this is not true. Almost all prominent position holders of SONY have denied any such news! They denied that SONY right now is deciding something on PSP-4000. According to them the brand is rather considering the response of PSP-3000 and has not thought anything about new PSP.

Summary: There have been lots of speculations regarding Sony PSP-4000. With so many rumors it becomes difficult to chalk out exact details of the PlayStation Portable. The rumors have already spread across boundaries that Sony will launch PSP-4000 with a bang at the end of 2009 with some advanced features in it.

Sony’s Opinion On Psp-4000

Just after the release of Sony PSP-3000 this year with some advanced features, the brand is once again preparing to launch its portable gaming zone by late 2009 with more refreshing features in it. Eurogamer’s publishing sources cited that Sony is preparing to refresh the PSP and expected to release Sony PSP-4000 this year with more advanced features in it. No further details have been provided by Sony regarding this. There is a craze among gamers regarding the Sony PSP-4000 and they wish to know about Sony’s opinion on PSP-4000. The features of the PSP-3000 had been enthralling with clearer screen and brighter display and the PSP-4000 is expected to have more advanced features with new improvements than a complete overhaul.

If this is really going to be true, then it would be great to see what new features Sony includes in this already popular PSP hardware. According to many gamers there is expectation that Nintendo is also preparing to launch its Nintendo DSi North America in the mid of 2009 and the late 2009 could be the right time for Sony to launch its PSP-4000. The Sony PSP-4000 could give a good counter to the DSi with new model and features in it. But the issue of the release of the Sony PSP-4000 is controversial because there is no official announcement from Sony themselves. So what is Sony’s opinion on PSP-4000 is difficult to say. They have not officially announced anything regarding this matter. Jesse Divinch, the analyst of EEDAR recently provided a little clue with his statement that he thought that there could be no hope for the PSP in North America at that point. So, it could be guesses that the release of Sony PSP-4000 is just a rumor being spread across the world of internet and nothing more than that.

But Eurogamer is sure about the launch of Sony PSP-4000. According to reports they claim that not only Sony has planned to lauch PSP-4000 but has already decided to develop a more powerful success of PSP-4000. But when the question was asked to President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, David Reeve, he stated that, “there are currently no plans for a PSP2.” According to him his visits to Tokyo has not revealed any such launch or new PSP2. According to him the hands of Sony is full at this moment and they have just launched the PSP-3000. Therefore the company is more focused on the present generation platform and its reviews rather than thinking to launch any such other PSP2.

But there are rumors spreading across all corners that Sony themselves have announced details about a new PSP console dubbed as PSP-4000. So, there have been lots of confusions regarding the Sony PSP-4000 among gamers. The truth will only be learnt only when Sony genuinely releases the PSP-400.

*#$*@*PSPgo has been one of the hottest topics since its official unveiling at E3. Everyone has been dying to get their hands on the new slick handheld. Be among the first to own the PSPgo when its launched in North America on October 1, 2009 by getting your pre-orders in now

Amazon.com is taking pre-orders for the PSPgo at the suggested retail price of $249.99. They are offering free super saver shipping on the item, so its essentially the same as picking it up at your local retailer. Both white and piano black models are available for pre-order.

If initial pre-order numbers are any indication, the PSPgo may be a difficult item to snag on its launch come October. Pre-ordering now may be your best bet if you want to be among the first to own this flashy new device.*****

Sony has contended there is no PSP2 and they are telling the cold hard truth. There wont be a PSP2 coming for at least a couple more years. That doesnt mean that some new PSP hardware isnt headed our way soon enough. Think more aesthetic changes, more along the lines of DSLite but more substantial of a change. We here at PlayStation LifeStyle are ready to debunk or confirm some of the rumors that are floating around the net.

We are not at liberty to divulge our sources. Rest assured all will be revealed during E3.

Some of the details I cannot divulge, but we will try our best to let you know what it is, and what it isnt. We recently noticed PSPWorlds attempt at Separating Fact and Fiction regarding the PSP2, we call it an attempt because its pretty much all wrong.

Lets take a look at what PSPWorld calls Fact

UMD is dead. Sorry folks, UMD IS dead, they got this one right
Touch Screen. PSPWorld states that this is a given as this seems to be the trend the industry is heading towards. Well Sony boasts its Like No Other and that is the truth, Sony doesnt follow trends, it sets them. There will be NO touchscreen in the next PSP.
Monstrous Hardware Specs If that were the case, it WOULD be the PSP2, and the next PSP is NOT the PSP2, its not the PSP-4000 either. In fact its something entirely unique.

Now lets move onto their Fiction:

Release before Christmas 2009. We dont know an exact release date, but its much sooner than anyone is expecting. One thing we are sure of is that its definitely going to be before Holiday 2009.
Internal HDD. If UMD is dead, how exactly does PSPWorld think we are going to get our games on the new PSP? Sure Sony could pack in some form of memory stick with the new PSP, but that isnt practical. As Dave Perry has mentioned in the past, look for some type of solid state memory on board. It will also take some form of removable flash memory.
Phone included. They got this one right also, but it wasnt a hard guess. There will be no built in phone in the next PSP, however you can always use Skype.
Here is a few more things we would like to touch on.

Sliding Screen. They call this fiction, and unfortunately we cannot comment on this. We have to leave it at that.
Dual Analog Sticks. Nope, not happening, at least not until the PSP2 which this isnt. Adding a second analog stick would alienate the current PSP lineup, which is going to get much more robust later this year. A lineup, that will play just fine on this new PSP, which is based on current PSP tech.

Please note there are problems with this emulator, some people say it works and some dont. Its the beta version so its just a test version. Not all ds games work yet.
