Why flashing messes up your chickhen:
This is my theory why this happens. When you flash Example: your waves chickhen will no longer work. Why? Chickhen runs on the psp’s ram when you go to run the exploit the psp dosent have the required,enough, or programed to use for the exploit to work. And thats why i cant run homebrew on my 3000 anymore. Davee pls make R3 run on 5.50!!!! If what i posted right here isnt right or you have another theory please send me a private message.

PSP-3000 fw 5.03 ChickHEN R2 installation with 90-100% Success

Please read and follow the instructions completely before posting a comment. If it does not work for you after a few attempts, make sure that you are using ChickHEN R2, with the relevant slim (3000) or phat (1000/2000) tiff files in the CORRECT LOCATIONS.

This is a guaranteed way to get ChickHEN R2 Homebrew to actually WORK ON MOST ATTEMPTS on your PSP-300x (many people are having problems as it is very difficult to initiate.)
INSTRUCTIONS:::::
Download ChickHEN R2 from: http://pspslimhacks.com/chickhen-r2-for-frimware-503-released/
and follow the instructions. I have some random images (14 to be exact) PLUS the 5 ChickHEN files (inc. slim.tiff for 300x) in the PSP/PHOTOS/ChickHEN folder and the h.bin file in the root.

Then, when all your files are in place, follow these simple steps to get it to work almost every time!

Try this:
1) go to photo on XMB
2) scroll down to Memory Stick (you will see ChickHEN – xx Images)
3) Press X
4) Immediately scroll to the bottom of the list
5) Press Left to exit
6) Press Right to enter directory again
7) Repeat and continue (do this quickly)

Enjoy your fully functional PSP!

If you are having problems, make sure that your PSP model and firmware is compatible! Make sure you have the files in the right place, and make sure you have read and followed the instructions carefully. You can also try disabling UMD autostart and UMD cache in the settings menu. I can provide no assistance other than what is already written.

How To Put And Install PSP CFW 5.50 Gen-D3 Onto The PSP With Download Link!

How To Install:
1.Download it
2.Extract it
3.Copy the 550.PBP To MS Root what u see when u open up the psp folder(ms root is not a folder and do not put it in MP_ROOT)
4.Copy Update under PSP/Games/Update in the file to PSP/Games
5.Run the installer and click enter then click on install flash CFW 5.50 gen-D3 (the first option)
6.Wait for it to load
7.Click Reboot or Shutdown
8.You Have the new CFW!!
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THIS PROGRAM ON TA088v3 PSP-2000 and PSP-3000 IN DANGER OF FULLY BRICKING YOUR PSP.
This installer works on any PSP-1000(phat psp) or PSP-2000(psp slim) already custom firmware 4.01 M33 or higher (as 5.00M33 example) unless the 5.50GEN-B (1). You can install directly 5.50GEN-D3 since all these firmwares, without intermediate stages except the 5.50GEN-B (1) where it will, first, install the Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-B2 can then switch 5.50GEN -D3.
Do not leave a custom theme on your PSP.
Do not leave screen custom
Run with 75%.

Improvements in the final version:

•Patch to remove the bug VSH menuEveryone can now enjoy the content of his Memory Stick
•Update on backups that were seen as corrupt.

How to play free ISO/CSO games on PSP 3000 HD

1. Download the files you need: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FK1IR4CI
2. Check if you have Sony’s Firmware 5.03
3. Connect your PSP to the computer.
4. If you don’t have Sony’s Firmware 5.03 copy copy the UPDATE folder (you’ve downloaded) to the GAME folder of your PSP.
5. Run the ChickHEN easy installer program you’ve downloaded and install ChickHEN.
6. Cut or delete the SYSTEM folder of your PSP (you can restore it later)
7. Copy CFW Enabler to the GAME folder of your PSP
8. If you don’t have Sony’s Firmware 5.03 go to game and install it.
9. Now restore the default settings of your PSP
10. Go to Photo and open the folder ChickHEN
Check if your firmware it must be 5.03 ChickHEN R2, if it don’t, format your memory stick with your PSP and go back to step one.
11. Go to Game and open CFW Enabler 3.50.
12. Press Flash and Start.
13. Press select in the XMB (Top menu of the PSP)
14. Set the UMD ISO Mode to M33 Driver
15. Download a CSO or ISO PSP game and put it in the ISO folder in the Root of your memory stick.
16. Play Games for Free!!!
17. Comment, Rate (5/5) and subscribe!!
