it is basically saying you need to format your psp. so here we go.

I assume you are running XP.
firstly open a note pad. (go to start then all programs then accessories then NOTE PAD and click)
once it&#039;s open type in mspformat and the letter that windows has given your psp. (for instance your Hard-drive is usually C)
then go to file and SAVE AS. in the file name part type FORMAT.BAT. and in the SAVE IN part save it where your file mspformat.exe is. now plug in your psp and find the file you just saved and double click. 

If i have read this right it should now format your memory stick in your psp ready to use.
