You will have to be …
You will have to be more specific, if you have a series 2000 psp(the newer, thinner and lighter psp, the original psp cant do this without third party products) you can connect one of two types of video cables. The first is composite, the second is component. Composite has red yellow and white, and you CANNOT connect it to play games on the tv, but you can do most other functions with it. With component, you CAN play games on the tv, but only when connected to the HD component ports of the tv.

    That you can pretty …
That you can pretty much do anything on a standard definition cable when connected to the TV except play videogames on the device.

Well, I can play games on my HDTV if I wanted to, but I cant record only the PSP’s video signal since I dont have an HD/component recorder, and theres already a bunch of videos online showing it being used on an HD screen anyway.

    The software to do …
The software to do this now exists. It’s called FuSa. Look it up on psp-hacks,com.

  23. N64Mario says:

    Ha. You’ve got one …
Ha. You’ve got one of those TV’s that doesn’t have progressive refresh rate? What I mean is you couldn’t play your PSP game in your current options, but you were able to show off the PSP menu. I did that once with one of my old TV’s that did the same thing. But sadly I couldn’t play PSP games either. So that’s why I had to get a HD TV with progressive mode to play PSP games. Unfortunately, I am unable to record my PSP anymore.

  25. xenepp says:

    Plugging in the …
Plugging in the primary component cable will do this. Also, if there’s a pal/ntsc setting on the PSP side, this needs to be changed. I’d say the former was more likely though.
