With E3 2009 starting on Monday, June 1st I planned on covering the conferences with several recap videos of the major press announcements. However, over the past few days PSP GO rumors have been circulating the web and with Sony’s Qore video game show accidentally confirming this information the coverage of the conference starts today. The PSP GO will launch later this year.
PSP GO Specs:
-3.8 inch display
-43% lighter than PSP-3000
-16gb of storage and a memory stick micro slot
-No UMD Drive
-Bluetooth support built-in and supports tethering to a BT enabled headset
-Integration with PS3 in the same capacity as the PSP-3000
-Full PlayStation Network support meaning movie and TV rentals or purchases
-New Gran Turismo, Little Big Planet, Jak and Daxter, and Metal Gear Solid games are on the way

you dont need to use a credit card, you aren’t required to put in payment info when you sign up on the playstation network, all you do is buy a psn card from a store like best buy and the child is then limited to a specific amount of money

Curious why you want to buy the PSP Go. It has a smaller screen (3.8 inch versus 4.3 inch on current models). Buying a current PSP with 16GB memory is cheaper, and you can download from the Playstation Network store from that too. And it can do UMD. All for less money.
The new model is smaller, though. And it has bluetooth. Maybe that’s what you like here. Everything else is worse.

For instance, after I launch Dissidia and get to the start menu and choose to load a save file, I’m inclined to push X to select the save file, but that cancels the load operation instead and have to use O in place. If I choose to hit ‘home’ and load back into the XMB, it requires that I use O to select that. But as soon as I get back to the XMB, it reverts back to the normal configuration.
If additional background would help, then lets say that everything was fine until I recently updated to GEN D3 first release. After I updated, several of my game saves kept getting corrupt and this button swap also occured, so I downgraded back to GEN D2….but the button swapping remains.
